Other birth control methods include the patch, the shot, and spermicides. Some individuals practice abstinence as a method for birth control and others have surgical procedures such as a vasectomy for a male or a tubal ligation for a female. The best option is the one that is right for you and it is something that you should discuss open and honestly with your doctor .
